Every factual claim on DryHomeLab must be traceable to a source we can identify. We use a structured citation system: references like [S1], [S2] link to specific sources listed at the bottom of each guide.

What counts as a source

• UK government or regulator publications (Ofgem, DESNZ, GOV.UK)
• Manufacturer specifications and energy labels
• Chartered institution or professional body guidance
• Peer-reviewed research where available
• Reputable UK consumer organisations

What we do not publish

• Unsourced generalisations presented as fact
• Fake product testing claims or fabricated reviews
• Invented expert endorsements
• Unverified statistics

Calculator transparency

Every calculator on DryHomeLab shows its formula, inputs, assumptions and limitations. We do not hide complexity behind a single number. Energy rates are sourced and dated. Users can override the default rate.
